After weeks of planning and a great deal of excitement, our Macmillan Coffee Morning finally took place on Friday 27th September, and we’re thrilled to share that it was a wonderful success! The event was filled with good company, delicious treats and the kindness of our Stockport community, all for a meaningful cause that is close to our hearts.
A huge thank you goes out to the amazing local businesses that supported us with donations. We’d like to give a special shoutout to The Hilltop Bakery, Funky Monkey, Create It! Cheadle and Cosmetic Plus for their contributions, which helped make the day such a success. You made our coffee morning even more special!
Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and generosity, we raised over £100 in cash donations on the day, which, when added to our online donations made a total of £441! This will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to provide vital care and resources to those affected by cancer. On the day of the event, we held a raffle featuring a mix of second-hand treasures and prizes donated by our kind-hearted local businesses. The goodies on offer included a Paco Rabanne perfume, gift vouchers, wine and many more to choose from. There was also a lucky dip where guests had the chance to reach in for a fun bonus prize, adding some extra excitement to the day.
Of course, no coffee morning would be complete without plenty of cake and coffee. There was an abundance of sweet treats for all to enjoy, with even enough left over to keep our team happy for days! The icing on the top was the incredible cake donated by The Hilltop Bakery as well as homemade goodies by our very own Kelly, Jen and Dave.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated and supported the event, we couldn’t have done it without you. Also, of course, a personal thank you to the rest of the Smith Goodfellow team, this wouldn’t have been possible without your hard work and contribution. We’re already looking forward to hosting another Macmillan Coffee Morning and hope you can join us again next year!
