Speedpanel Social Media – Growing a Platform

As manufacturer of a niche, problem solving product, Speedpanel needed to deliver insightful social media content to highlight their offer to key audiences.

Challenge

Embarking on an exciting new period with parent company Caddick Group, we were tasked with re-establishing Speedpanel’s social media presence, platforming future content and raising their brand awareness.

We created a strategic three-month social media content plan that aimed to:

  • Attract new followers.
  • Increase reach.
  • Increase engagement.

Solution

The strategy drew three content strands together to maximise reach into new audiences, whilst encouraging engagement with existing followers – all grounded by maintaining consistency in post frequency, quality and visual identity.

This incorporated:

  • Benchmarking social media performance.
  • Research into the existing behaviours between social media and website to inform calls-to-action.
  • Developing a social media plan based on key goals and audience groups.
  • Creating branded visual assets to establish familiarity with Speepdanel content.
  • Crafting content for Speedpanel personnel to link into the core brand campaign.

Results

Over the initial three-month content creation period, we saw consistent, positive growth across every social media Key Performance Indicator (KPI) we tracked. This included:

  • 46% average month-on-month increase in total followers.
  • 133% average month-on-month increase in monthly page views.
  • 81% average month-on-month increase in monthly reactions.
  • 300% average month-on-month increase in monthly comments.
  • 82% average month-on-month increase in engagement rate.
  • 78% average month-on-month increase in monthly engagement.

Comparing Speedpanel’s post engagements to two key industry competitors, we saw them rise from achieving the lowest to the highest amounts per month in just three months, highlighting the appetite for their content in the marketplace and the effectiveness of our efforts.

Without any paid promotion, this content-driven organic campaign proved hugely time and budget efficient. It gave a strong foundation to future content, and reintroduced Speedpanel to the market in a strong, structured way.
