Siderise EduComms Strategy – Award Winning PR

Our strategic campaign to deliver industry education to professionals was an award-winning solution for Siderise.

Challenge

As part of their commitment to excellence and integrity, Siderise were seeking to deliver useful educational content to support professionals, addressing issues such as the general lack of understanding of passive fire protection in the market, and the degree of misinformation and exaggerated claims being disseminated in some quarters.

We set out to develop a strategic cross-market communications plan designed to achieve the following goals:

  • Educate specifiers on the importance of passive fire protection.
  • Position the client’s business offering as a credible and reliable route to ensuring the passive fire safety of any building.
  • Improve internal knowledge of testing and ability to address misinformation.

Solution

To achieve this, we divided our strategy into three pillars that map to the central stages of the RIBA Plan of Works , from conception to installation. This allowed us to begin with more top-level content which then became increasingly specific, technical, and regionalised—thus accounting for the various levels of knowledge in the global marketplace.

Outputs included:

  • Technical bulletins.
  • Quick guides.
  • Editorial
  • Blog content.
  • LinkedIn content.

Results

Despite challenges with fully implementing the campaign, Siderise enjoyed:

  • 43% growth in numbers of CPD attendees.
  • 8% growth in LinkedIn followers during the course of the campaign.
  • 4% high organic engagement rate of per impression— 60% over the previous period.
  • 97,489 total organic reach.

We were also honoured to have our approach to PR strategy development recognised at the 2022 Construction Manufacturing Awards , where we won in the Strategic Planning and Management category with this project.

The Siderise EduComms strategy exemplifies what can be achieved when technical experts and communications strategists come together to create something that truly adds value to the construction industry as a whole.
